I’m a Seattle native, born and raised by some pretty hip parents who had me listening to everything from Vangelis, to Queen Latifah, to Dead Can Dance. And that's where this never-ending mission to find and share the latest aurally pleasurable track started!

So I started volunteering as a DJ assistant to Michele Myers circa 2006 -- working off and on as her Friday night sidekick for the next 7 years. Since then I've worked as a volunteer on a ton of KEXP events and pledge drives, filled in hours of playlists for several of our incredible DJ’s and searched through the library for the most obscure vinyl, proudly contributed to the brilliant “Electronic Innovators” audio documentary, and I've loved every single minute of it. And then in 2013, I stepped behind the mic for my first DJ shift on air and fell right in love with being able to share music with people all over the globe!

KEXP is so special, and has been created and run by some of the warmest and most inspiring people I’ve ever met.

As far as MY music goes... you can expect to hear lots of my all-time-favorites during my shows, including artists like Chemical Brothers to Tame Impala to Doves, Cat Power and Radiohead... and then back around to DJ Krush and Dan The Automator'd many projects, and (last but never least in my heart) Daft Punk. Bjork's Post is the most perfect record I've ever heard, and nothing makes me sing louder than Paul Simon's Graceland.

I love getting to know people that are a part of this amazing KEXP community, so feel free to reach out with requests or hello's via @evieluxx on both twitter and instagram. And thanks for listening!!
